Justice denied for the 11 EACOP activists held beyond mandatory bail after KCB Bank protest

The petition was delivered by 11 environmental activists to Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) Uganda on April 23, 225 , urging the bank to cease financing the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) . The activists argued that the pipeline poses severe threats to the environment, communities' livelihoods, and climate justice. Instead of receiving the petition, the activists were deceptively led into the basement of the bank and arrested by police on charges of criminal trespass.
