Kasese Municipal Council is located within Nyamwamba Division. It sits in the flood plains of the River Nyamwamba. The area’s geological composition consists mainly of argillites with basal quartzite and amphibolites. The soil is primarily alluvial deposits with boulders and pebbles, which can support agriculture and afforestation with improvements.
