Photos and videos from the field
Our photos and videos document community dialogues, agroecology trainings, solar installations, tree planting, campaigns and events with partners across Uganda and the region.
Media and partners are welcome to use this material with credit to “CECIC Uganda”. For high-resolution files or interviews, contact our communications team.
Every image is taken with the consent of the people shown. Please do not crop out credits or use pictures of community members in ways that could put them at risk, especially in stories about land conflicts or evictions.
What our photos and videos show
The gallery follows our seven programmes. You will find community dialogues on land and climate, agroecology learning centres, solar demonstrations and trainings for women installers, tree planting and river-bank restoration, campaign marches, and national and regional events where CECIC represents communities from the Rwenzori region.
Many photos are taken by our field staff and by community members themselves. We add new albums after major events and campaigns. For daily updates, follow us on Instagram and Facebook.

Highlights from the gallery
Community action: dialogues on land and climate, petition drives and commemorations such as Afrika Vuka Day. Clean energy: solar demonstrations, women installer trainings and community energy projects. Food and farming: agroecology learning centres, seed fairs and farmer exchanges. Environment: tree planting, river-bank restoration and clean-up drives. Policy: national and regional meetings where CECIC represents communities from the Rwenzori region.
Videos include short interviews with community members, event highlights and explainers on our campaigns. New material is added after major activities.
Using CECIC photos and videos
These photos and videos may be used for news reporting, education and non-commercial advocacy, as long as you credit “CECIC Uganda” and do not change their meaning. Commercial use, advertising and political campaigning require written permission. Please do not use images of children or people in sensitive situations without contacting us first.
Partners who appear in our pictures can request copies for their own reports. If you see a photograph of yourself that you would like removed, contact us and we will take it down.
We also welcome photographs from community members and partners. If you share material with us, tell us who took it and whether the people shown agreed to be photographed.
How the gallery is organised
The gallery is organised into albums by event and theme, with the newest albums first. Click any picture to open it in full size and browse the album, and play videos directly on the page. Captions tell you where and when each picture was taken and, where people agreed, who is shown. We keep adding photos and videos from new activities across the Rwenzori region.
